It is a publication project formed by the socio-cultural research of Taiwanese immigrants in New Zealand. It leads the reader to get to know more about Taiwanese immigrants in New Zealand and share the experience of moving to a new country and new culture in a journal form. By these messages, the readers might able to view their daily life in a new perspective. The book name, im → migrant, expresses the theme of ‘immigrant’ as well as ‘I’m migrant’ as the second layer of meaning. When the project of ‘Migration’ came, I know where to start immediately, ‘immigrants’. I’m an immigrant from Taiwan. My family and I came to New Zealand in the winter of 2016. It is long enough to feel settled and write a conclusion for it. Thus, the centre of the publication is decided as ‘Taiwanese immigrants in New Zealand’. The author’s point of view does not represent the entire Taiwanese group.
